Divas of SwingChukkar Farm has been hosting James Casto and his amazing singers and songwriters with Home by Dark during the summer months for years. The response to their first Saturday night concerts was overwhelming so we added a first Friday night show as well. That filled up too! Now, we are expanding our musical reach by joining forces with Atlanta Plays it Forward. The not-for-profit organization is headed by Tom LaDow who started the organization as a way to put his passion for charitable/community organizations and causes to work.

Atlanta Plays it Forward

The organization connects non-profits and musicians to bring great music to special fundraising and awareness events. Their pool of musicians, entertainers, and event managers offer their services to worthy causes at a reduced fee. To become a client of Atlanta Plays it Forward, you must first work through their client relations application. Upon approval, Tom and his team of executive directors will help you find the right resources for your non-profit event. They strive to help you make your event a success with their unique entertainment options.

The Divas of Swing

The first #TGIF concert facilitated by Atlanta Plays it Forward will be a swinging good time with the Divas of Swing! “Divas of Swing” will feature three of Atlanta’s most wonderful jazz vocalists singing the songs made famous by the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee, Sarah Vaughn, Billy Holliday and Rosemary Clooney accompanied by popular jazz band, the Jazz Jones Legacy, some of Atlanta’s best jazz musicians. Melanie Dobbins, karen Mellisas, and Marcella Jones will be SHowing off their vocal acrobats as they bring to live the music of these music legends.

This concert was coordinated to support DreamWeavers of Georgia, an Alpharetta based charity dedicated to enriching the lives of foster children. Dream Weavers’ mission is to enrich the lives of foster children by creating opportunities and providing resources that promote the educational, emotional and social well-being of foster children.  By engaging foster children in community based and extracurricular activities , academic pursuits, and providing a safe environment to heal with biological families, they are afforded the opportunity to maximize their potential.  DreamWeavers is committed to seeing that foster children receive the “extras” in life that are often taken for granted. Come out and enjoy the wonderful music at beautiful Chukkar Farm this Friday evening and feel good about supporting children in need.

Polo matches and practices are NOW OPEN to spectators.

Please note, we are working with the county to acquire a permit for weddings and concerts. Until our permit is issued we will not be able to host any weddings or concerts.

Thanks for your understanding. We will update here when we are open for weddings and concerts again.
