Alpharetta GA Club HouseYou’ve spent countless weeks finding the perfect venue for your company picnic, creating alternate shelter plans in case of rain, you’ve listed to hours of music to pick the right band, now all that’s left is to get the party started! But wait, how are you going to convince your employees to come hang out with you – their boss – on their day off? Chukkar Farm Polo Club and Event Facility has tips on how to create a buzz and generate excitement about your company picnic so your employees won’t want to miss it.

Save the Date!

As soon as you have a date and venue set for your event, send out save the date notifications. These can be snail mailed or emailed, which ever suits you. Just make sure that you let your guests know as soon as possible what day they need to go ahead and mark off of their calendar.

Shout From the Roof Tops

Posters and fliers were the old way to let people know about upcoming events, and they are still easy and cheap ways to promote your company picnic. But, get up to speed with modern day communication. Use social media outlets to tell your employees about your event! You can link to your band, your caterer, and even you venue to show them just how great it’s going to be.

Entice RSVP’s

Reward the first people to RSVP with an “early bird” prize! Whether you want to give those first 25 people a free t-shirt or an extra door prize ticket, just make sure it’s something that they’ll actually want. This way, you won’t have people sending in their RSVPs at the last minute – or not at all.

Include Their Families

If most of your employees are of the age that they have a spouse and children, make sure to include them at your picnic. While you’re promoting your event via email marketing or social media, let them know about all of the great activities that not only the adults will enjoy, but what you’ve got planned for the kids, too!

Do you have a great idea for spreading the word about your company picnic and increasing attendance? Leave it in the comments! Chukkar Farm would love to hear what helped your company picnic be successful!

Polo matches and practices are NOW OPEN to spectators.

Please note, we are working with the county to acquire a permit for weddings and concerts. Until our permit is issued we will not be able to host any weddings or concerts.

Thanks for your understanding. We will update here when we are open for weddings and concerts again.
