151d362926251f42e07be6b9a2cee3acJoin us on Sunday, September 18th for the Evans Foundation Fundraiser at Chukkar Farm!

This will be an event unlike any other that we’ve hosted at Chukkar Farm. The Evans foundation is arranging for top chefs from Atlanta to cook a meal for what they have deemed their “Chef’s Sunday Supper” during the afternoon polo match. This ‘Supper’ will be served family style with 6-7 courses starting with a beer and wine bar and shared appetizers. Followed by soup and salad and the main entrees. If you’ve got a sweet tooth, your table will be bidding against other attendees for the best looking dessert on the menu. Want to try out a new wine or whiskey? We will be offering a wine and whiskey pull as well!

Who is the Evans Foundation?

This is a young foundation – only a year old – and this September at Chukkar Farm will be their second fundraising event so far. The foundation was created in honor of Chef Jeffrey Campbell Evans. He was a young Chef with dreams to open his own fine dining restaurant when those dreams were cut short by a virus that attacked his heart. This virus left Jeffery’s heart unable to pump 80% of it’s potential, which meant Jeffery was placed on the transplant list. Once placed on the list, Jeffrey was required to live within hours of the hospital, and have a caregiver present at all times. These requirements put heavy financial strain on his family. Unfortunately, Jeffery did not receive the heart he needed and passed away in 2006 but his family survived the upheaval and is now looking to assist other families in similar situations with the financial and emotional support that the medical industry simply cannot provide.
All of the fundraising efforts by this organization are going towards building a home in Atlanta for organ transplant patients and their caregivers. Join us on September 18th and help the Evans Foundation give patients and caregivers affordable and comfortable housing as they journey through difficult times.

Please be advised that Polo matches and practices are not presently open to spectators.
