Capturing your big day on film is a wedding trend that has gone in and out of style over the years. But, now that technology is progressing so quickly and cameras have gotten significantly smaller (read – your guests won’t be bothered by a giant camera hanging around) it is very common for brides to have their big day captured in both video and photo format. When you are looking for a great videographer for your Chukkar Farm outdoor wedding, be sure that they will capture the style of video that you want, and that they will work well with your photographer.
What’s Your Style?
Ninety percent of the time, brides at Chukkar Farm have a very specific idea of how they want their wedding day to play out. We would say that we definitely have a ‘Pinterest-worthy’ venue, and our brides love to take our barns and turn them into their dream venue. Capturing that style is the job of your videographer, but if they typically work in a cinematic style and you are looking to get more of a documentary piece, you may not be happy with the result. Discussing the videographer’s style upfront to be sure that it mixes well with the style of your wedding will be key in getting a product that you’re in love with.
Have You Worked With My Photographer?
The main job of your photographer and your videographer is to capture every aspect and important moment of your big day. If the two professionals have previously worked together, they will be more likely to have a good rapport and work together to capture all of the appropriate moments with your needs in mind. Using a videographer and photographer that have not previously worked together is still doable, but they should certainly meet before the date of the wedding and discuss a strategy to be sure they are working together, and won’t simply be in each other’s way.
Now, you will have your wedding day captured on film that will last a lifetime and can be passed down for generations to come. Not only will you love to replay the day over and over, but as your venue, we love to see the results too! This video is from a 2014 wedding that was absolutely stunning! We especially loved their baby blue Mustang get away car.
