Before you even walk up for your first Polo lesson at Chukkar Farm, you need to be ready for one thing – having a great time! Chukkar Farm is opening the ‘barn doors’ to Polo and welcoming everyone, from 12 to 80, to come learn to play this addicting, exciting sport at our Alpharetta, GA farm. To facilitate your experience, we have a wonderful Polo Professional, Sue Lukashevich.
Sue has been involved in Polo her entire life. She has played Polo, taught Polo, trained Polo ponies across the US – from Los Angeles, CA to West Palm Beach, FL. Her competition experience includes many USPA tournaments – she won the first USPA Women’s Open held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, CA in 1995. Sue knows how to get the most out of both you as a player, and your equine teammate, to make your Polo experience a winning success.
Sue presents the entire Polo experience to Novice players and riders in easy to digest morsels of information. She loves to watch players learn the game, and has in infinite amount of patience to remind you of the rules as you learn the game on the field. If you think Polo is just about sitting on a horse and swigging a mallet, you’re going to be quite surprised when you mount up with Sue. She will take notice of the smallest details – how you hold your wrist when you swing, where your shoulders should be balanced, and where the perfect spot is to swoop in and take control of the ball while in play.
We hope that you join us at Chukkar Farm for our weekly practice Polo lessons. Sign up for a private lesson with Sue to get one on one attention and perfect your swing in the hitting cage. For more information and to sign up, contact Sue at 678-859-7845 or lukashevich@aol.com.
