In the past, Chukkar Farm has offered a unique line up of events, non-profit fundraisers, and our classic Sunday polo matches, but this November, we’re bringing you something new! On November 15th, let the Cherokee Theater Company revolutionize your non-profit fundraiser experience with an afternoon and evening of heart pounding excitement at Polo and Play.
Founded in 1986, the Cherokee Theater Company is a community theater troupe committed to bringing the arts to life in Cherokee County. Every year they preform classics, such as Arsenic and Old Lace, as well as contemporary hits. A new branch of the company, the Shakespeare Project, helps local residents gain an appreciation for the works of Shakespeare through workshops and performances.
Chukkar Farm in Alpharetta plays host to this year’s Polo and Play event. The day’s festivities include:
- 2:00-4:00 PM Polo Match: The event kicks off with an exciting polo match on the grounds. You’ll be enthralled by the elegance of the sport, thrilled by the speed, and captivated by the action.
- Musical Performance by Hannah DeLane: This up and coming local singer/songwriter brings a unique blend of pop and soul to every performance. Her musical interlude will transition you from the polo grounds to the events pavilion, where the rest of the day’s activities occur.
- 4:30-5:15 PM Silent Auction: A silent auction is an expected part of any non-profit fundraiser, and there’s a good reason. Enter for a chance to win amazing prizes from some of the area’s most popular businesses, knowing that your money goes to support your community theater.
- 5:30 PM Dinner Theatre Performance of Cappuletti v. Montecelli: This exciting murder mystery dinner production by the Cherokee Theater Company is a complex tale of “love, feuds and mayhem”. Unlike a traditional production, you aren’t just a member of the crowd, you become a part of the action. Audience participation adds a layer of engagement that is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat, anxious to solve the crime.
Tickets to the event are available through the CTC website. For the polo match, tickets are $20 per car, and tickets for the dinner theatre performance are $50 per person. Call (770) 591-0282 for more information about tickets or the event.
