IMG_3249bThe heat has been so extreme this summer in metro Atlanta that we are actually rescheduling our polo matches through the rest of July and August to mornings at 11 am to avoid the late afternoon heat at 2:00 p. We are going to be ready for fall when it gets here – that’s for sure. And, fall at Chukkar Farm is full of great events and activities. It’s one of the best times to enjoy the outdoors in north Georgia as the leaves start to change and the cool breezes blow in the late evenings. Although we will have to say good bye to the lightning bugs when the temperatures cool off, we will be ok with that when we can find some reprieve from the Georgia heat.

So what is there to look forward to at our facility in the Fall? We have a line up of events coming for you, please join us for as many as you can!

Weekly Events

Every week we invite you to come play or watch polo with us! The goal of Chukkar Farm was to make polo a sport attainable for everyone interested in playing – not just the elitists. That’s why we offer polo lessons each week where you can learn the basics of the sport. We provide everything including helmets, horses, and equipment – all you need to bring is your willingness to learn and a positive attitude.

Once you are competent in our lessons, we may even invite you to play with us on Sunday afternoons when we resume our 2:00 pm chukkar times this fall. Every Sunday afternoon we play a few good natured chukkars and invite the public to pack their own picnic to enjoy the game.

Monthly Events

Our outdoor concert series continues through October with both Home by Dark and Atlanta Plays it Forward. The last Home by Dark concert is Saturday, October 1st while the last Atlanta Plays it Forward concert is Friday, October 21st.

One-Off Events

We are always looking for new groups to work with to offer our facility and polo matches as a fundraising opportunity for them. Through September and October we have several events lined up that you are invited to! Join us for evenings of dancing, music, silent auctions, polo, and more. Each of these events benefits a charity or cause in our community that we are proud to partner with.

Sept 24: Mill Springs

Sept 25: Tomorrow’s Luminaries

Oct 8: National Abilities Center

Oct 9: Polo for Parkinsons

We’re looking forward to seeing you at Chukkar Farm soon!

Polo matches and practices are NOW OPEN to spectators.

Please note, we are working with the county to acquire a permit for weddings and concerts. Until our permit is issued we will not be able to host any weddings or concerts.

Thanks for your understanding. We will update here when we are open for weddings and concerts again.
