“The details are not the details. They make the design.” Charles Ormond Eames, Jr

Pasture Wedding ChapelWhen it comes to planning a wedding, this quote could not be more accurate. It’s the details that truly give your rustic wedding the “easy, breezy” feel as if it “just happened” that all brides are hoping to convey to their guests. It’s the feel of  “this place has always been here looking like this” that makes a rustic chic wedding so enticing. But the truth is, making an event appear that flawless takes dedication, time and focus. But, since Chukkar Farm has been hosting rustic, outdoor weddings in the north Georgia mountains for years, we’ve got some tips to help you make your dream wedding a reality. This week, we’re going to get you started with our first 3 tips, and join us next week for the last 3 tips.

So basically, what you want to know is how do you get more time out of your day, to plan the ‘big day?’ The answer: have a plan. The most successful people still have the same 24 hours in the day that you do – they just wake up with a plan! This is the tried and true plan for quickly, easily, and as stress-free as possible, planning a wedding:

#1 Decide on your venue

Look at every space that you might even consider using as your wedding venue. Look above your price range, in your price range, and of course below your price range. Keep your eye out for spaces that might not advertise being a wedding venue, but would probably be happy to host your wedding if you just asked!

#2 Choose your vintage wedding
colors

This is where a lot of brides get tripped up – but don’t over think it! Just look at some photos or paintings that you love and pull your color palette from there. This is a handy trick to remember: choose two focus colors and a complementary neutral tone. You’ll be golden.

#3 Create your inspiration board

You probably already have this started if you’re like us and you are an avid Pinner, but if not, now is a the time to get started! Collect ideas from everywhere so inspire the decor and rest of the wedding planning process.

This is just the beginning of our plan to creating a beautiful outdoor wedding. Join us next week for the next three steps in planning your wedding flawlessly and in the meantime, check out some of the other weddings we’ve hosted at Chukkar Farm for more inspiration!
