Polo LessonsHorses are powerful, strong, smart creatures. When horse and rider can act as one unit, virtually nothing can stand in their way. They become a picture of perfect grace, harmony, and teamwork. A Polo player is the embodiment of this form. Here at Chukkar Farm Polo Club and Event Facility in Alpharetta, GA, we are introducing seasoned riders and beginners alike to the exciting, challenging, and intriguing game of Polo.

Polo is seen as an elitist sport. It takes large sums of money to play, to participate, and to be associated in the Polo community. But, Chukkar Farm aims to change the exclusivity of Polo and make it a sport that anyone can play, without breaking the bank. We invite anyone and everyone to come learn and play Polo at our friendly and welcoming club that is suited for beginner to intermediate Polo players, regardless of your equestrian experience.

When you sign up for Polo lessons, you will be getting the full equestrian experience. You will help catch horses from their pastures, tack them up, and help your other players and their mounts get ready to play. Then, we’ll meet in the clubhouse to discuss a bit of strategy, talk about each player’s responsibility, and some of the general rules of Polo. Once everyone understands the basics, and knows not to cross the line of the ball and that Polo is a contact sport, we will strap on helmets and hit the field.  On the field, we try to let every player have their chance with the ball during our practice chukkars. It’s fun to be competitive and pull for your team, but we want everyone to have a safe, fun, positive experience here at Chukkar Farm.

Once you pick up a mallet, we can just about promise that you won’t want to put it down! Keep coming back each week to get in as much practice as you can and we can help you get a good, solid Polo foundation under your belt. Give us a call today to schedule your private or group Polo lessons here at Chukkar Farm!

Polo matches and practices are NOW OPEN to spectators.
