Our mission is to positively impact the life course of foster and adoptive children who have experienced early developmental trauma. We do this by engaging children in a weekly mentorship program where they achieve individualized life goals through equine facilitated learning.

IMG_3249bThis is the mission of Stable Moments – a PATH International Center Member that services north Georgia. Their program has been impacting lives since November of 2014 and offers a unique form of therapy to these children who are often ‘therapied out’ and are wary of being analyzed and treated. This unique program partners children one-on-one with a mentor once a week for 10 months out of the year working through a customized plan of care. They are given the opportunity to develop essential life skills such as self-esteem, responsibility, and emotional awareness as they learn how their body language, attitude, and emotions impact the horses they work with.

Chukkar Farm was proud to host Stable Moments at our polo match as a fundraiser to support their cause. They brought in live music by the Mad Violinist, had a cash bar, delicious hors d’oeuvers, and a silent auction filled with beautiful art from a local artist.

The sponsors included:
Momentum Church
Horizon Planning Group
Fostering Together North Point Ministries
State Farm, Jan Rooney Agency Inc.
Mattress Safe
Lisa Seger Insurance

We were honored to host this fundraiser and are looking forward to seeing them again soon.
