Summer Fun…Off the Beaten Path

spectators watching polo activities

Few things say summer like outdoor concerts and hand packed picnics. Throw in a cold beverage and your best friends, and that sounds like the perfect summer evening to us!

If you’ve been looking for something fun and new to do in the metro Atlanta area this summer, find your way out to Chukkar Farm.

Weekly Events

Summer Polo – Every Sunday through the summer months we play polo out on our large field. We invite our veteran players as well as outside clubs to join us for matches. The public is always invited to come enjoy the view from the pavilion or on the lawn. Bring a picnic of your favorite foods and beverages and even some lawn games for the kids. It will be an afternoon of family fun you’ll want to repeat every week! Be on the lookout for updates on our home page and Facebook page for updates on upcoming games. Sometimes we unfortunately get rained out and will move the time as needed to avoid playing during extreme temperatures.

Monthly Events

Outdoor Concerts – We are fortunate at Chukkar Farm that we have a relationship with not one but two excellent groups of musicians from the Atlanta area. Home by Dark with James Casto and Atlanta Plays it Forward both bring in rotating musicians throughout the year to satisfy all of your musical cravings. HBD plays twice a month – the first Friday and Saturday – while APF plays the 3rd Friday of the month. Each of these concerts donate a portion of their funds to a different charity each month. Enjoy the music chastain style – bring your own picnic dinner – but make sure you reserve  table as they sell out quickly.

Wine Tastings – A new offering this year, Jax Spirits has been joining us for one of our Friday night concerts with a wine tasting offering. They bring a selection of their favorite wines for you to try, and give you an opportunity to take your favorite one home. This event does not have a regular schedule so the easiest way to stay up to date is by checking our events calendar.
