Chukkar 34Believe it or not, here at Chukkar Farm, we actually love winter time. Despite the bitter cold temperatures and tremendous amounts of rain that we receive in North Georgia, winter is the time for both us and our animals to take a rest from our busy season throughout the rest of the year.

Living on a farm, you truly live by the weather and by the seasons. While sometimes we do get tired of the bitter cold and red mud, we use winter as nature intended – as a time for us and our animals to rest and regain our strength and energy before the busy growing season of spring returns. This winter, we’ve also been doing a little bit a behind the scenes work to set up some new activities and programs for the farm throughout the beautiful spring, summer, and fall of 2015.

Outdoor Concert Series

We are looking forward to another wonderful year of enjoying music out on the lawn with Home by Dark and the TGIF concert series. The first night of live music will be on April 17th with a performance coordinated by Atlanta Plays it Forward. The proceeds from this event will go towards a special charity chosen by Atlanta Plays it Forward and Chukkar Farm.

Open Wedding Dates

Believe it or not, we actually still have dates for this spring, summer, and fall open for weddings or any other event that you would like to organize at Chukkar Farm. This is extremely unusual for us! Don’t miss out on these great dates. Now is a perfect time to walk through the farm and see everything that we have to offer.

Spring time will be here before we know it, and we’ll be ready! But in the meantime, stay home, stay warm, and enjoy these few short weeks of cold weather before the Georgia heat returns in full force!

Please be advised that Polo matches and practices are not presently open to spectators.
